Blockmate Ventures Enters Neocloud Market with First NVIDIA B200 Purchase
Yahoo Finance ·
Blockmate Ventures Inc. has agreed to buy its initial NVIDIA B200 AI compute node from Scannit Inc. for approximately US$635,000, stepping into the AI neocloud and GPU infrastructure sector. Under the terms, Blockmate secures an eight-GPU node, with delivery anticipated in the first quarter of 2027, depending on allocation and logistics. While Blockmate will own the hardware housed in a US facility, Scannit will manage and operate the system, marketing its capacity across various networks. Blockmate will claim the majority of gross revenues over a 36-month management window. Acting as a pilot project, the firm aims to evaluate performance metrics before considering larger multi-node expansions. The acquisition will be financed through current cash reserves and debt, including a proposed secured loan from an entity controlled by founder Domenic Carosa. This move complements Blockmate's Wyoming data center initiative and its stake in Hivello.

DYAX 전담 분석
Blockmate Ventures' acquisition of the B200 node signifies its entry into the AI infrastructure business through direct hardware ownership. The initial capital recovery period is expected to take about two years, depending on utilization rates and market prices, with plans to monetize GPU compute capacity through a partnership with Scant.
The bullish scenario is that soaring demand for AI compute sustains high utilization rates, leading to rapid ROI and expansion into additional multi-node setups. The bearish scenario involves poor utilization rates and worsening financial pressure from debt financing, requiring close monitoring of actual utilization and revenue realization metrics.
