Nvidia ( NASDAQ:NVDA ) CEO Jensen Huang is standing behind an extraordinary growth forecast for 2027, arguing that relentless demand, higher-value computing systems and emerging markets such as cybersecurity can extend the chipmaker's AI boom. Speaking Thursday at Goldman Sachs' Communacopia + Technology Conference, Huang said he remains confident that Nvidia can increase revenue by 70% next year. Demand for AI computing continues to exceed available supply, potentially preventing the company from capturing all the business customers want to place. Nvidia's management stunned Wall Street last month when it projected 70% year-over-year revenue growth in 2027. Executives estimated that growth could surpass 100% if the company were able to satisfy all available demand. The forecast suggests that Nvidia's biggest near-term obstacle may be production capacity rather than customer appetite. Nvidia is also trying to capture more of every dollar spent on data centers. Instead of primarily supplying graphics processors, the company is expanding into complete AI factory systems that combine its hardware and software. The rising prices of Nvidia's successive platforms illustrate that strategy. The upcoming Vera Rubin system is expected to cost roughly $40,000, compared with about $25,000 for Blackwell and $18,000 for Hopper. Huang also said Nvidia is gaining share at Anthropic, the developer of the Claude AI models. Nvidia invested in Anthropic in November 2025. Beyond core data-center demand, Huang identified cybersecurity as a likely next growth engine for artificial intelligence. Nvidia has established partnerships with security and enterprise-technology companies including CrowdStrike (CRWD), Cisco Systems ( NASDAQ:CSCO ) and Palantir Technologies ( NASDAQ:PLTR ). Cybersecurity presents a natural expansion opportunity because companies need increasingly powerful systems to detect threats, analyze enormous volumes of activity and respond to attacks. Huang also expects meaningful advances in physical AI over the next two to three years, particularly across robotics and autonomous driving. For investors, Nvidia's opportunity is becoming broader than selling GPUs for chatbots. The company is positioning its technology as long-lived, financeable infrastructure that can support data centers, security systems, robots and autonomous vehicles.
