JPMorgan Resets CoreWeave Stock Price Target for 2026 Moz Farooque ACCA Thu, September 24, 2026 at 12:29 PM EDT 2 min read CRWV JPM This article first appeared on GuruFocus . CoreWeave ( NASDAQ:CRWV ) shares rose in premarket trading Thursday after JPMorgan ( NYSE:JPM ) upgraded the AI infrastructure provider to Overweight from Neutral, arguing that strong demand and more favorable contract pricing could drive revenue and margins higher than previously expected. The upgrade puts renewed focus on CoreWeave's ability to monetize scarce GPU capacity more aggressively, even as investors remain wary of the company's heavy capital requirements. Warning! CoreWeave operates specialized cloud infrastructure built around high-performance GPUs used for AI training and inference. Its growth depends heavily on securing enough capacity, financing data-center expansion and converting strong compute demand into attractive contract economics. We are upgrading CoreWeave to Overweight from Neutral, led by the favorable pricing backdrop for compute given the strong demand backdrop as well as the incremental willingness of the company to lean into short-term contracts at premium pricing, which drives our revenue and margin forecasts higher in contrast to a lackluster share price performance dictated by investor concerns around capital intensity, JPMorgan analyst Samik Chatterjee wrote. Chatterjee raised his price target to $125 from $120. JPMorgan said the pricing backdrop has strengthened throughout the year. CoreWeave adjusted pricing on roughly 25% of its products in July, while competitors including Nebius have implemented frequent increases. Short-term compute contracts elsewhere can reportedly price at nearly three times CoreWeave's longer-term agreements. That creates an opportunity for CoreWeave to shift more capacity toward higher-priced short-duration work. JPMorgan also sees improving lender confidence as important. Chatterjee pointed to CoreWeave's August DDTL 5.5 financing as evidence that debt markets are becoming more comfortable with sustained GPU demand. For CoreWeave investors, the key debate is shifting from demand to monetization. Higher short-term pricing could lift revenue per unit of capacity and improve margins, but only if CoreWeave can finance expansion without letting capital intensity overwhelm returns. Investors should watch contract mix, utilization, financing costs and margin progression. A greater share of premium-priced short-term contracts would strengthen JPMorgan's thesis. The main risk remains the balance sheet: strong AI demand helps only if CoreWeave can convert it into durable cash generation faster than infrastructure spending rises.
