Shares of several major enterprise software companies moved lower Monday morning after Meta Platforms ( META ) unveiled a new business platform aimed at bringing its AI technology to corporations. Microsoft ( MSFT ) fell about 2% in morning trading, while Oracle ( ORCL ) declined 3%. Meta's new platform will give businesses access to products including its Muse AI agent, Meta Business Agent, Muse API and Muse Code. The company said the offering is intended to help organizations use its technology for business operations and growth. The expansion also brings an experienced enterprise executive to Meta. Chirantan CJ Desai, previously CEO of MongoDB, will lead the new unit and report to CEO Mark Zuckerberg. MongoDB shares fell sharply in early trading after the leadership change.
