Yorkton Equity acquires related-party property management company

Yorkton Equity Group ( YEG:CA ) said Thursday it signed a deal to acquire property manager Yorkton Management from CEO and controlling shareholder Ben Lui and a close family member in a $700K all-share transaction. Yorkton expects to issue 4.67M shares at $0.15 per share to fund the acquisition. Following the deal, Ben Lui is expected to own about 72.4% of the company's outstanding shares. The acquisition brings property management for Yorkton's Edmonton, Alberta, investment properties in-house to improve efficiency and retain related profits.
