The US FDA has approved Vertex Pharmaceuticals' ( VRTX ) gene therapy Casgevy (exagamglogene autotemcel) for children as young as two years old with sickle cell disease or β thalassemia. The approval is the eighth under the Commissioner's National Priority Voucher pilot
