Senate Democrats Huddle on Crypto Bill as Negotiations Intensify
BLOOMBERG LAW ·
A group of Senate Democrats met privately Wednesday to discuss where they stand on the Clarity Act ( H.R. 3633 ), the major crypto bill broadly backed by Republicans and President Donald Trump that proponents are sprinting to advance. The full list of attendees wasn’t immediately clear, but Sens. Angela Alsobrooks (D-Md.) and Ben Ray Luján (D-N.M.) both confirmed their participation as they exited the huddle in the Senate. Alsobrooks, a key negotiator in the discussions around the bill on the Senate Banking Committee, said that while there is “progress” being made, she still walked away with ongoing reservations.
