WeAreDevelopers World Congress 2026: Exploring what's next for the agentic internet
ALGO ·
Another WeAreDevelopers World Congress is in the books, and after three consecutive years in Berlin, one thing is clear: the conversation around AI has changed. This year, nearly every discussion came back to AI and agents. From keynote stages to hallway conversations, developers were asking the same questions: What will agents be capable of? What infrastructure is still missing? And how do we build systems that are secure, trustworthy, and ready for what's next? For us, that made WeAreDevelopers the perfect place to showcase the work we've been doing around x402 and agentic commerce . While many attendees were already thinking about AI agents, the idea of agents making and receiving payments–and the infrastructure it would require–was still new to many people. Throughout the week, we introduced developers to x402 (the open protocol for web-native stablecoin payments) and demonstrated how programmable payments can unlock entirely new experiences for AI-powered applications. One of the most rewarding parts of the event was watching those "aha" moments happen. As developers saw our demos, attended workshops, and asked questions at the booth, the conversation shifted from " What is x402? " to " I can see exactly where I'd use this. " It's still an emerging space, but that's exactly what makes it exciting. Beyond agentic commerce, our team shared ideas across several of the technologies shaping the future of the internet. Throughout the conference, we delivered talks on: The agentic economy and the future of programmable payments The post-quantum future and the cryptographic agility it will require Hands-on x402 workshops covering both the payer and merchant sides of the protocol Recordings of select talks will be available soon – stay tuned to our YouTube channel . Of course, WeAreDevelopers is just as much about the community as it is about the technology. Some of our favorite moments happened away from the presentation stages – challenging developers to chess games at the Algorand booth, meeting builders from around the world, and hosting a World Cup watch party with the community at 42Berlin. Those conversations, connections, and shared experiences are just as valuable as the technical sessions. We're continuing to work with developers and invite builders to join the Global x402 Challenge , attend future workshops , and stay connected with the team in Discord as they begin building the next generation of agentic applications. Thanks to everyone who stopped by the booth, attended a session, played a game of chess, or shared ideas with our team. We're excited to see what you build next – and hope to see you back in Berlin next year. Disclaimer: The content provided in this blog is for informational purposes only. AI 시장 분석
The future of the autonomous agent internet was a key agenda item at the WeAreDevelopers World Congress 2026. This suggests that AI is evolving beyond simple tools into agent-based ecosystems capable of independent judgment and execution. Investors should closely monitor the technical breakthroughs and potential market share expansion of AI software and infrastructure firms.
상승 영향
