Braiin ( BRAI +1.77% ) stock got crushed this w eek, sinking 39.6% from where it stood at the end of the previous week's market close . The S&P 500 declined 2% over the same stretch , and the Nasdaq Composite was off 4.6%. Despite the massive size of its valuation pullback this week, there actually doesn't appear to have been any major business-specific news for the company. The stock is now down roughly 61% from market close on the day of its initial public offering (IPO) in February. Amid bearish momentum for the broader market this week, many speculative and highly growth-dependent artificial intelligence (AI) stocks had a tough go of things . Even many high-quality AI chip stocks got hit with significant sell-offs. Braiin went public earlier this year and has yet to publish its first financial results as a publicly traded company, and investors don't have much visibility into the business's recent performance or near-term outlook at the moment . The company's share price skyrocketed near the end of May after it was announced that the company had secured a partnership with Switchcraft to assist with utility and telecom activation services in the UK , but the stock has seen a big drawdown in subsequent trading .
