データセンターの電力需要拡大を背景に、Chevron（CVX）はMicrosoftおよび発電開発者Engine No. 1と提携し、米国のデータセンターに最大4ギガワットの電力を供給し得る天然ガス発電プロジェクトを進めると発表した。4GWは概ね300万世帯分の電力に相当する。
