Apple, Broadcom에 지출 확대해 미국 내 수십억 칩 생산 확대

Apple은 Broadcom과의 다년 약정을 통해 맞춤 실리콘과 무선 연결 기술 생산을 위해 300억 달러를 초과하는 신규 약정을 발표했다. 이 합의는 미국 Fort Collins 시설에 Broadcom이 15억 달러를 투자해 확장하는 것을 포함하며, 150억 개 이상의 미국산 칩 생산과 수백 개의 미국 일자리를 지원할 전망이다. 이번 투자는 Apple의 미국 내 제조 촉진 프로그램(AMP) 하에서 이뤄진 최대 규모 약정이다.
