KeyBanc Resets Meta Stock Target As Muse Takes off Moz Farooque ACCA Wed, September 23, 2026 at 11:28 AM EDT 2 min read META This article first appeared on GuruFocus . Meta Platforms ( META ) just picked up another bullish Wall Street call, with KeyBanc raising its price target to $900 from $780 and reiterating a Buy rating as the firm sees stronger revenue and earnings growth ahead. The roughly 15% target increase reflects what analyst Justin Patterson called a stronger revenue and EPS forecast, with early traction for Meta's Muse AI assistant strengthening confidence in the company's broader product cycle. Patterson said the agentic AI assistant's early momentum supports the view that investor sentiment around consumer AI could improve, while giving Meta additional ways to monetize its enormous user base. The analyst expects more clarity during Meta Connect on September 23 and 24, particularly around developer relationships and how Meta intends to create monetization opportunities around its latest products. KeyBanc's revised forecasts suggest the firm sees those opportunities translating into meaningful financial growth. Patterson now expects Meta's 2027 revenue to rise 23% to $313.8 billion, followed by another 21% increase to $378.7 billion in 2028. Those forecasts sit 3% and 4% above Wall Street expectations, respectively. He also projects 2027 earnings per share of $35.09, roughly 4% above consensus, and 2028 EPS of $40.50, about 1% above consensus. The new $900 target is based on 22 times expected 2028 earnings. KeyBanc also believes investor confidence has improved following Meta's August social-addiction trial settlement and September launch of Muse, which together have reduced one major uncertainty while strengthening the company's AI narrative. KeyBanc's call suggests Meta's AI thesis is increasingly shifting from heavy investment toward evidence of monetizable products. Investors should watch Muse engagement, developer adoption and any concrete monetization plans emerging from Meta Connect.
