Dell Stock Drops Nearly 2.9% as OpenShell Reaches the Entire AI Factory Khac Phu Nguyen Mon, September 28, 2026 at 12:51 PM EDT 1 min read DELL NVDA This article first appeared on GuruFocus . Dell wants a bigger role than supplying servers. Its deskside AI systems can run models with roughly 70 billion to 235 billion parameters locally, giving customers a way to keep sensitive work on their own hardware. Dell can sell the systems, then help businesses deploy and manage them. The company has booked more than $130 billion in AI-server orders over 12 months and expects $74 billion in fiscal 2027 AI-server revenue. That is a huge business, but the valuation leaves little room for a weak payoff. At $546.86, the shares sit 134.9% above the $232.81 GF Value estimate. Nvidia's announcement brings Dell into a broader security offering without adding a disclosed server order. Investors now need to see whether services, deployment margins and repeat purchases make those AI sales more profitable.
